AYURVEDIC: DIY AMLA OIL IN 5 WAYS

Welcome back!! , so today you would be learning different methods to make your very own Amla oil and how to apply it to your hair for fast growth. The methods are pretty easy, so  It's up to you, to make a choice. Enjoy!

To do this, you will have to use oils that can penetrate the hair shaft e.g coconut oil, olive oil etc 


METHOD 1

INGREDIENTS

-2 teaspoons Amla powder 

-2 teaspoons coconut oil 

-1 tablespoon olive oil 

PROCEDURE 

- combine the coconut and olive oil in a pan. 

-put mixture on a low heat. 

- add Amla powder to oil and stir continuously to prevent the powder from burning. 

- heat until the oil turns brown. 

-remove oil from the heat and let to cool. 

-strain the oil.

- Apply oil while it's slightly warm to your scalp and hair. 

- Massage for 15 minutes 

- Leave in for 30minutes. 

-After 30 minutes wash hair with a mild shampoo. 


METHOD 2 (fresh amla oil) 

INGREDIENTS 

-1-2 Fresh amla 

- 1 tablespoon coconut oil. 

PROCEDURES.

-Blend the Amla and extract the juice 

-Combine the coconut oil and Amla juice then whisk thoroughly for 4-5 minutes. 

- Make sure the coconut is in a liquid form not solid, if not warm oil before use. 

-Massage in to scalp and work your way to your hair strands. 

- leave in for 1-2 hours, after which wash out with a mild shampoo. 


METHOD 3

DOUBLE BOILER METHOD 

INGREDIENTS 

-5 tablespoon Amla powder.

-1 Cup coconut oil.

PROCEDURE 

-Place a pot of water on the stove and allow to boil. 

- once the water begins to boil reduce the heat to a low simmer and place  the bowl containing the amla and coconut mixture on top of the pot of hot water. 

- Leave it there for 1 hour 30 minutes. 

- stir at intervals. 

-After the required time 

-allow to cool,  strain and store in a glass jar placed in a cool dark place .


METHOD 4 (Sun infused oil) 

INGREDIENTS 

-5 tablespoon Amla powder 

-1 cup coconut oil 

PROCEDURE 

- Combine Amla powder and oil in a glass jar. 

- place the jar under the sun, do this for the next 4-5 weeks. 

-gently shake or turn the jar 2-3 times a week  .

-after the the 4-5 weeks, it would be done and it's your choice to strain or leave the oil like that.


METHOD 5 (AMLA AND BHRINGRAJ OIL)

INGREDIENT

-Amla powder

-Bringraj oil

PREPARATION

-Add amla powder to bhringraj oil and mix.

-When you want to apply warm the mixture before applying to hair and scalp.

-Leave in for 30 minutes then Wash with a mild shampoo.
